For intended parents planning two children through coordinated journeys
Tandem planning can reduce repeated preparation and align embryo, donor, surrogate and document strategy from the beginning. Each surrogate journey remains medically and legally separate and may progress on a different timeline.
What the programme covers
Family-building and embryo plan
The intended parent and clinic decide how embryos will be created, allocated and stored for two planned journeys.
- Donor and IVF strategy
- Embryo-allocation plan
- Storage and testing scope
- Contingency planning
Two surrogate matches
Each surrogate is screened, matched, contracted and medically prepared separately. Matching availability can result in different start dates.
- Two candidate profiles
- Separate agreements
- Individual transfer schedules
- Independent care plans
Pregnancy coordination
The team coordinates two monitoring and support streams while maintaining separate clinical decision-making for each surrogate.
- Separate medical reports
- Surrogate support for each journey
- Travel and delivery planning
- Contingency coordination
Two birth and document processes
Each child has a separate birth-registration and supporting-document process. Home-country citizenship and passport planning must account for the timing of both births.
- Separate DNA and birth records
- Individual translations
- Passport-document preparation
- Coordinated travel planning
Eligibility, scope and payment stages are confirmed in writing.
The Tandem Programme does not require the journeys to begin, progress or deliver simultaneously. The agreement defines each journey’s treatment, matching, payment and post-birth scope and how shared services are allocated.
